My DM research thesis was on the physiological impact of laparoscopic cholecystectomy. The understanding I gained from my research has helped me to use techniques which minimise risk from gallbladder surgery.
I offer laparoscopic cholecystectomy for all comers with a conversion rate to open surgery well below 1%. My technique employs routine cholangiography (X-Ray imaging of the bile ducts), and laparoscopic exploration of the bile duct where necessary.
I am experienced in laparoscopic repair of all abdominal wall and groin hernias. My standard approach to groin hernias is the TEP (totally extra-peritoneal) repair.
